Mission

Exceptional students of music, aged 3-15 years old are recognized for superior talent and artistic aptitude, initiated and nominated through teachers and evaluated by professional expert musicians of high caliber, will be awarded a professional-grade instrument, along with mentoring with an accomplished musician.

Vision

Virtuoseaux is a non-profit organization 501 (C)(3) that exists to reward talented young musicians--a gift for a Gift.

Moving into the future, Virtuoseaux plans to expand its scope and breadth into a wider geographical range, as well as into all realms of musical expression.

Projects

Virtuoseaux is where a a young musician is honored and awarded for natural intrinsic abilities, born out of inherent talent that cannot be taught, a prodigy.  For maximum impact, we have partnered with "ZanaFest Youth Group," founded by Greg Paul.  The Non-Profit Organization has had many successful festivals, showcasing young musicians, giving a chance to display their talents, as well as experience a live interactive audience.  All who attend are in support of the young talent as they develop their abilities.  We look forward to the next Festival where prodigies will abound.

Executive Director:
Malley Branchetti

Malley's respect for music, the industry, teachers, and especially the musician, began as a child.  The following showcases my history, present, and future with music.

He began drum lessons with Mars Scarazzo at age eight, concentrated in both jazz and rock.  Growing up, he became inspired by drummers, such as Buddy Rich, Neil Peart, and John Bonham, to mention a few.

Upon reaching junior high school, Malley was advanced in reading and performing where he was mentored by Lee Tolfa and Sal Aloe, who would come to enhance his talents through their expertise.

Through Tolfa, he received the “John Phillips Sousa Award,” given for overall musicianship.  He was also awarded the “The Instrumentalist Magazine Musicianship Award.”  As a member of the Ambridge Jazz Band, he was selected from a Tri-County search to play a show with the accomplished guitarist Joe Negri in an “All-Star” show.

Throughout high school, he played out and performed on a weekly basis.  He began learning other instruments, which he performed as well, including piano, guitar, and especially vocals.  He helped found a Beatle's Tribute band, named the "Lonely Hearts Club Band, where he sang and played various instruments.  He was also in other bands in this era of my life: Fineline, TAZ, Cameron-Paul Band, The Guise.

Malley attended Slippery Rock University for English/Literature and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Education and a doubled Master’s Degree in English and Literature.  During my stay, he joined the “Marching Rockets Marching Band" and became Drum Captain for two years.  He became Slippery Rock High's Drum Instructor where he wrote cadences and taught proper techniques of marching band.  Also, his then band, “Hypothermia.” won the Talent show in my Senior year.  It was his brainchild as the founder and lead singer/keyboardist.

During Graduate work, he founded a recording studio named “HomeGrown Records,” where he produced records for bands, undertaking everything from discussing artistic vision  final recordings of their music.  He worked as the technician, sound engineer, studio musician, writer, and producer, creating over 85 Albums.  He played on many of the Albums where needed, and wanted, including drums, guitar, keyboards, and vocals.  His productions got continual airplay and helped propel bands and musicians to their goals

Malley then became Executive Producer at the “AudioLoft” Recording Studio in Ambridge, PA where he produced approximately 70 Projects, including an annual recording of Geneva College’s Choir, as well as multiple professional rock bands.  After being hired as an English Professor in 2005, he started to limit recording in order to focus more on my career at Butler County Community College and Allegheny Community College.  Through the Community College of Beaver County, he taught “Music Production” for three years in Continuing Education, as well as English Composition for two years at the Charter School for music in Midland, Lincoln Park High School.

Malley went back to his roots at this time and joined a death-metal band that still gets airplay in Pittsburgh, “Death Mobile” as the keyboardist; however, he moved to drums later on.  This band was also part of Mark Menold's TV show, “The It’s Alive Show” (which aired every Saturday night) where the members of the band played characters-skits and performed with the band during episodes.  Malley then joined a rock band with a pirate theme, “The Bloody Seamen,” that won “Rock Band of the Year” in Pittsburgh through the popular radio station 105.9, “The X.”

At this time (2009), Malley put together a band of my own making, “The Next Doors,” a tribute band of “The Doors” where he performs as Jim Morrison of “The Doors”: www.thenextdoors.live

The band plays some of the biggest arenas, including Nelson Ledges “Classic Fest,” and venues in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Detroit, Michigan, such as "Monster Fest."  The band still tours and plays, touring a show named “27 Forever,” which has a lineup of Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and The Next Doors.

In 2015, Malley joined another tribute band, “The Fabulous Booze Brothers,” which is a 12-piece show band, consisting of a 6-man horn section.  He am co-lead singer as the character “Elwood.”  They play bigger venues and have been the house band for “Rivers’ Casino” for three years running.  In 2022-2023, through the “Pittsburgh City Paper,” the band won “Blues Band of the Year” two years in a row, 2nd and 3rd, respectively.  The Booze Brothers has a following of many who make most of the performances.

Malley presently plays out on a regular basis and will continue with some other musical projects he has in mind, mostly, Virtuoseaux and its rich Vision.  Through experience and passion Malley's Vision is to inspire young artists to engage in musician more intensive levels and be involved in the music community.
